How do I know if I could be eligible for benefits?
Social Security uses a process involving five questions to determine if you are disabled:
- Are you working?
- Is your condition severe?
- Is your condition found in the list of disabling conditions? (Click here to go to SS site to view the list of disabling conditions.)
- Can you do the work you did previously?
- Can you do any other type of work?
- Click here to visit the Social Security website and see if you are eligible for Social Security benefits by using the Benefits Eligibility Screening Tool (BEST).

Denied SSDI Benefits?
If your disability application is denied, the letter sent to you by the Social Security Administration will explain the reason for the denial and how to request a review of their decision.
