What is SSDI?

How do I know if I could be eligible for benefits? 

Social Security uses a process involving five questions to determine if you are disabled:

• Are you working?
  
• Is your condition severe?
  
• Is your condition found in the list of disabling conditions?  (Click here ​to go to SS site to view the list of disabling conditions.)
  
• Can you do the work you did previously?
  
• Can you do any other type of work?

Denied SSDI Benefits?​​​

If your disability application is denied, the letter sent to you by the Social Security Administration will explain the reason for the denial and how to request a review of their decision.
